Maurício Rodríguez Guridi is a visual artist and professor born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1994. He graduated from the Instituto Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (UdelaR) with a Bachelor’s degree in Plastic and Visual Arts, from the Instituto de Profesores Artigas with a degree in Secondary Education in Visual Communication, and from the Escuela de Artes y Artesanías Dr. Pedro Figari (UTU) in Drawing and Painting.
Since his education, he has developed an artistic career focused on the exploration and experimentation with various disciplines. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Uruguay and internationally. His work has been recognized and selected for artist residencies, such as the Obra Abierta Collective Residency (2022) in San José, Uruguay, and for the INAV Visual Artists Mentorship Program, where he presented the project Cryptogrammatics for Beginners in 2024.Try it!
