PaperDescription
Lucas Scaglia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1986. He holds a degree in Design and Visual Communication.
“Since 2015, I began to express myself artistically using tools acquired from design, private teachers, and a great deal of self-teaching. My priority is visual expression through various techniques or whatever arises spontaneously from the urgent need to sublimate. I feel most comfortable with markers and paper, although I sometimes add digital color, depending on the piece.”
About the work: “The consumption of alcohol missed the mark. Visual memory was influential in a drawing you won’t guess. The nostalgia of the plum is my childhood. Weaving everything together as a strategy. What seeps from within contradicts the technicalities. Life as camouflage. Adoration for the product of a pristine surface. The inequalities that hurt. Machinery and its dominance.”
