'River Abstracts' is an awe-inspiring collection of photographic artworks by Alexander Rowan, showcasing the magnificent Pjorsa River Region of Southern Iceland

'I wanted my first exhibition to be of a place few people had ever seen or heard; A place where few souls roam, and yet is so unbelievably beautiful you couldn't help question whether or not its real. 

The Pjorsa River is that place to me. Like an endless song the river transform in color, form and inspiration. It holds beauty, ineffable, and a wisdom I have silently sipped every moment I spend there. To this day, I have never seen another soul .
 
Time and again I return like a pilgrim to these shores where the river meets the sea. I always find a new river. And I always depart a new me.

River Abstracts

Sept ans après sa dernière exposition en 2018 à Paris, Roland de Saint Etienne revient avec une collection inédite de 70 toiles et dessins réalisées au cours de ces dernières années. L’exposition se divise en plusieurs chapitres, chacun explorant des thèmes variés et colorés.
Vous découvrirez toujours une section dédiée à l’Orient, riche en personnages, paysages et aussi moments intimes, évoquant les bains, les naïades et hammams.
Une autre partie de l’exposition met en lumière des illustrations inspirées par la musique, le cinéma et le théâtre.
Les visiteurs pourront également admirer des paysages de différentes régions, toiles de plus grande taille, offrant une immersion totale. 
Enfin, une série de tableaux spirituels invite à la contemplation et à la méditation.
Plongez dans cet univers où chaque toile raconte une histoire, un voyage entre lumière et ombre, d'ici et d'ailleurs.
