My work metaphorically centers on nature and wild animals in relation to my human experience. It looks towards the beauty and serenity that surrounds me. It appreciates the splendor, the quiet peaceful yet fierce-less perseverance of creatures and nature. I value the seemingly simple, yet intricate essential qualities of how life comes to be, how it purely exists, and how sometimes it's tainted, yet still beautiful. My inspiration comes from the musings of my observations and impressions. Each art piece offers a glimpse into the narrative of my experience of my life journey. The works are documentations of a time and place and perhaps more essentially, of the emotions that are exchanged between myself and my subject. I am obsessed with the idea of herds and how they relate to the human family support system, trees for their architectural strength and rootedness, birds for their ability to fly and flock to dominate the sky, and flowers for the ephemeral beauty, which exists everywhere yet most evident in the short life of a bloom.
