Tenmi HANAGI

Tenmi Hanagi is a self-taught visual artist. I creates works using a variety of media, including drawing, collage, photography, installation, and oil painting, and has exhibited my work in international exhibitions. My work is constantly evolving, drawing inspiration from a wide range of fields—including painting,photography, sculpture, architecture, and nature —and resulting in a unique style guided moreby intuition than by rules. From a young age, I had a strong desire to expressthe sensations and images within her. I began drawing and creating collages in 1991. In 1997, I stayed in Peru as an assistant to a contemporary artist. In 2006 and 2007, she exhibited my work atthe Est-Ouest Auction. From 2005 to 2022, I held a solo exhibition every year. I believes that sight, hearing, and the other senses are not independent entities, but rather blend together to access a higher realm where they intermingle. I expresses this invisible “something”—which resonates with these blended sensations—as visible artworks. I believes this invisible “something” stimulates human senses, is part of a complex sensibility, and is universal and timeless. Currently, I continues to create works centered on painting.
