Somdutt Prasad

I have been fascinated by photography from a young age and have been taking images since school times. I am eye specialist, and my medical career kept me busy, but over the last decade, I have dedicated more time to my photographic art. It is perhaps natural that my interest in the visual sciences has attracted me towards photography. I take photographs in various genres, but my main interest is in wildlife photography. We share our planet with many species, and whilst photography documents their behaviour, I see it as part of a wider effort to raise awareness and support conservation. I have received over a 100 medals from various international photography salons and exhibitions and distinctions from most of the leading photographic organisations of the world, including PSA - The Photographic Society of America (MPSA, BPSA), FIAP - The International Federation of Photographic Art (EFIAP), The Federation of Indian Photography (EFIP), The Australian Photographic Society (FAPS). I was awarded the "FIP Indian Photographer of the year 2024".
