I believe that every person needs a certain inner, vertical dimension in their life.
 I’ve been described as a mystic in art. This may or may not be an exaggeration, but noticing that mystical dimension isn’t very difficult. It lives within us all the time, waiting for a quiet moment of stillness to reveal itself.
I try to express this dimension through my art — or rather, this feeling tries to express itself through me. At the heart of my paintings is nature — its fragility and mystery — and the human spiritual relationship with it. In the works, a world unfolds where sages, shamans, spirits, forest beings and nature form an inseparable whole. For the viewer, a quiet yet powerful entirety takes shape, inviting them to linger longer than they first intended.
