Ghost is an interpretation of the shdows of the psyche. That which exists within the subconscious of humans. Its the buried unwanted parts of ourselves that often wears the mask of the force persona. 
Ghost also represents the ethereal dimension of ghosts in their light body often seen once the individual has left the earth plan. Its the energetic fragment of someone who comes back to deal with unfinished business or haunt a place for various reasons.
My aspect of the ghosts of time emerged from creating theatrical ghost costumes out of rags in various fabrics. Which I then used for performance art, filmed & photgraphed in an interactive art project of willing participants. 
Its an expression of the inbetween world,  the unsolid in nature, that has been translated into an art form.
They can be  funny,  frightening, macarb, they are just expressions of what individuals portray whilst wearing the costumes & an interpretation by the viewer.
