LIFE LINES
Description
While hunting for images on the shores of Laguna Beach, I stood still, watching the waves come in and out. In the distance, I noticed a rock peeking out of the water. Timing the break just right, I made my way out to the rock. I aimed to capture the wave rushing over the rock without getting my shoes wet. Knowing I had to sacrifice my shoes, I stepped deeper into the breaking waves. When I got to the rock and took a closer look, I was surprised to find that the rock had more character than I had envisioned. I knew I had found the image that I wanted to make. The etchings in the rock were similar to the life lines of the palms of your hand, and I was so happy to have captured the beauty of nature's design.Try it!
