He had his first individual exhibition at the López Portillo museum in 2006, in the center of the City. And since then he has participated, being selected in more than a dozen of national plastic competitions specialized in the subject, with more than 50 groups within and outside the state of Jalisco and has 4 individual exhibitions to date. Among what stands out; Two honorable mentions in the “Jorge Martínez” painting contest now biennial, whose exhibitions were at the Museum of the City of Guadalajara in the center of the city, 3rd place in a painting contest held by the gallery vértice of Guadalajara, gallery renowned for the quality of its works and exhibitions. Recognized as an artist with career in 2015 for the state competition “Salón de Octubre” in which he has participated in 6 occasions and which is carried out by the board of the October festivities in Guadalajara. His work belongs to several private collections, among which “cuaco” from the Álvarez del Castillo which was exhibited in the Guadalajara cabins museum a few years ago. The work of Fernando M. Águila tends towards figuration, focusing on formal drawings, bright textures and colors. As a contemporary painter, he draws on various stylistic influences throughout history. of art, with compositions that hint at surrealism and expressive brushstrokes that reminiscent of the impressionists, while simultaneously following the current of the school Mexican painting. M. Águila has received awards and honors and has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Jalisco as in other states.
