I've lived in the American West my whole life. And though I've traveled the world, few places compare with the wild beauty and strength of spirit found within the West's diverse cultures and landscapes. As an fine artist who paints primarily in oils, inspiration for new works are discovered everywhere - whether on a drive into the mountains or a ferry ride into the islands. My work is heart-centered, which means I love to investigate and explore the softer side of life in the West, such as experiences and moments that evoke a sense of nostalgia for simpler times past. Yet, I'm also drawn to the explosive power of rodeo, and the athleticism and grit required of the modern cowboys and cowgirls who ride the circuit. Like snapshots in a photo album, each painting tells a story. For me, these are stories of hope and wonder for the beauty found all around us, wherever we may be.
