My photography is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the quiet moments that can easily be overlooked. I am drawn to landscapes, wildlife, flowers and the changing details of the environment around us, capturing moments that evoke a sense of calm, wonder and connection with nature. I particularly enjoy photographing places that have a strong sense of atmosphere and character. From the dramatic landscapes of the Scottish Highlands to the delicate detail of a butterfly, I look for compositions that tell a story and allow the viewer to feel as though they are present within the scene. My approach to photography is centred on capturing the natural beauty of a moment rather than heavily altering it. I enjoy working with natural light, colour, texture and perspective to create photographs that feel authentic while still having a strong visual impact. I hope my work encourages people to pause and appreciate the world around them. Whether it is a vast mountain landscape, a winding path disappearing into the distance, or a small detail in nature. I believe photography has the ability to preserve a feeling as much as it preserves an image. Through my prints, I aim to bring a little of that feeling into people’s homes—creating artwork that can be enjoyed not only for its appearance, but also for the memories, emotions and sense of escape it evokes. My work is ultimately about finding beauty in both the extraordinary and the everyday, and sharing those moments with others through photography.
