My true passion has always been photography, with all its possibilities. After completing a technical and vocational training, followed by a professional career in aircraft manufacturing, I began teaching myself analog and digital photography in 1993. This was followed by academic training in image editing, layout, and illustration. Seeing and capturing the world in moments is a calling—it is my calling. To depict people, unique moments, the everlasting beauty of nature, vibrant metropolises, architecture—from archaic to contemporary—illustratively and illusory, to sometimes render objects provocative and dark, but also to highlight seemingly insignificant things, is my form of expression, my way of living, speaking, shouting, laughing, crying, and ultimately, communicating. "Showing the viewer of my images just one possibility of how beautiful something can be, to hold back the transience for them, to let time and space stand still for them, calms and satisfies me. To evoke feelings in people and to make them think—that is what I want. Because feeling and thinking is what makes us who we are."
