As a woman navigating both the contemporary art world and the continue search of identity and expression, my practice is rooted in a deep commitment to abstraction as a language of autonomy and intuition. My paintings reflect my ongoing exploration of balance- Through geometric forms and layered colour fields, I seek to dismantle boundaries and reimagine spatial relationships in ways that feel both harmonious and disruptive. My compositions invite reflection on the power of collaboration, the beauty of contrasts, and the complexity of relationships, offering a visual exploration of form, connection, and coexistence. I am in a constant search for rhythm and abstract construction, using color and shapes that will evoke feelings and present the dual meanings that characterize me. Some of the shapes are created randomly by meeting the spaces between the lines; others are subject to an orderly rule. Disorder with "very neat" geometric figures that repeat themselves like folded corners, a repeating wave, X's as life’s junctions that form a pair of wings that I wish to set free and yet, the meanings are left to the viewer's free will. I deliberately use bold shapes and intersecting lines to evoke complexity- mirroring the layered experiences of womanhood, creativity and resilience. In a field historically dominated by male voices, I am interested in asserting a feminine geometry- a visual language that speaks with confidence, but also with care and introspection. Viewers are encouraged to find themselves in the interstices, in the tensions, in the quiet spaces where color and form coexist.
