Cashin Canvas Art

I am an Irish Artist and live in a really beautiful part of Kerry, in Southern Ireland, surrounded by nature. I always take great comfort from the change in Seasons, with the dependable flow of life. Life is crazy and complicated and my love and passion for life embraces beauty, even in the most mundane. An image can reach a place deep inside and everyone should be able to get lost and find escape, in this mad World, without a huge price tag. I love to photograph images from moments in time and then try to capture them on canvas. Every creation is a unique hand painted original piece. I use Acrylics and Oils on Canvas, sometimes mixing the two. I am drawn to texture, it ignores the rules, it's messy, childlike and joyful. My original paintings, offer texture, depth, vivid colour and fine detail in every piece. As an adopted person, in my own life I have always desperately searched for the meaning of home, it’s safety, it’s warmth, it’s life. It’s never just about the bricks and mortar, it’s more the souls who make it their own safe place. I am drawn to that and will always search out the heart in a home. Especially in these times, I am deeply aware that everyone has a different experience of ‘home’. I try and offer pieces, where ‘Heart meets Art’. I hope you enjoy them.
