"When photographing art in the background/people in museums and dance, I have only a very rough plan for how things will unfold on site. Usually, the moments arise spontaneously - practically leaping out at me - resulting in a few photos. However, that does not mean I simply snap away aimlessly. With plants, I am drawn to their shape, structure, or color; I then look for a suitable background - such as a multiplex board - and arrange the subject slightly. At best, I enter a creative flow where everything happens automatically and time stands still. This way of photographing is exciting and unpredictable, as the results often exceed expectations. Moreover, the technical equipment plays a rather minor role."
