I stand before “Tropical Cyclone in the Mist,” an arresting digital art piece that embodies the chaos of a storm named Debbie. Here, cool blues and cyans clash against warm oranges, reds, and greens in a turbulent dance that mirrors the clash between a cyclone’s fury and the disrupted peace. Amidst the tempest, a maze of precise geometric shapes paradoxically imposes order.
This spectacle draws me into contemplation. Our actions stoke such storms, yet this art urges us to preserve the earth. It’s a legacy for our descendants, a promise of a world where they can marvel at beauty untouched by our failings—a plea to let future storms be only in pictures, not of our making.
