DescriptionThe third and final piece of my “WITHIN” series, #3 offers the viewer the most accessible and open spaces of this group of work. Where #1 and #2 present more use of wire mesh, a pattern that may be interpreted as restrictive, or protective, this piece places the mesh only as a backdrop. “Within #3” offers more options to enter and exit without obstruction. The work thus completes the WITHIN journey of passages that set out to explore the familiar progression of human emotion, from constraint and fear to the more comforting sentiments of shelter, protection, and eventually the freedom to meet life without obstacles.
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. The piece is covered with non-glare museum-quality Plexiglas.
