Description
Shelter Us was inspired by a photo of architect Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA. Its lyrical, sculptural panels revealed shadowy spaces that appeared mystical to me, drawing me in. I saw pathways and found myself asking: where will they lead me? As I continued working on the piece, I was impacted by world events that shook me with fear, sadness, and disappointment. I found myself looking everywhere for peace, serenity, safety, and shelter, and this work transformed into my search. This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To preserve the sculptural dynamic of this work, there is no glass or Plexiglas on the frame. A varnish coating has been applied to the surface to protect this work from dust and moisture. A special shipping container is used to protect this work in transit.
