DescriptionShelter Us was inspired by a photo of architect Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA. Its lyrical, sculptural panels revealed shadowy spaces that appeared mystical to me, drawing me in. I saw pathways and found myself asking: where will they lead me? As I continued working on the piece, I was impacted by world events that shook me with fear, sadness, and disappointment. I found myself looking everywhere for peace, serenity, safety, and shelter, and this work transformed into my search.
