Leho De Sosa is a visual artist, cultural manager, and Uruguayan activist currently residing in Paris.
His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. He describes himself as immersed in “marica and sudaka art,” a personal conception of decolonial queer art. His projects and works reflect his commitment to human rights, with a special focus on the visibility of LGBTQI+ communities.
Winner of the Painting category at the 2024 Federico García Lorca Ibero-American Award. “I decided to paint a piece inspired by Blanes’ ‘Rest,’ using gay iconography, with elements of wonderart, superflat, and neo-pop, as the rebirth of a queer xatria without art.”
Selected in the First Call for Exhibition Projects, he is showcasing his work for the first time at RAG.Try it!
