Through the viewfinder, I search for visual metaphors; fragments of time that hold meaning beyond the immediate. My photography blends spontaneity with careful composition, drawing from the greats like Luigi Ghirri for intimate formality and Dorothea Lange for lessons in human connection. Whether capturing movement or drawing attention to small, telling details, I seek to give fleeting moments a new lease on life, transforming them into images that resonate. Recently, I have found again true joy in seeing my photographs in print; I believe the time taken to turn an image into a physical object is held within it as is the intention given to what would otherwise be just another fleeting moment. A printed photograph feels like its final resting form, something to be held and experienced beyond the scroll of a screen. I hope they bring others the same sense of presence and permanence they give me. I'm drawn to projects that explore themes of development, growth, and relationships, whether it be children in a family, trees in a forest or life paths ahead.
