Simon Robin Stephens is a neurodivergent British watercolour artist whose work explores the quiet intersections of light, memory, and human connection. Known for his loose yet emotionally resonant style, Simon's paintings evoke fleeting moments—sunlight skimming the sea, a path half-remembered, or the hush of stillness before movement. His approach to watercolour embraces its unpredictability, capturing atmosphere with a kind of soft, layered honesty. Since discovering watercolour, Simon has rapidly developed into a professional exhibiting artist. He helps facilitate creative workshops at the Salvation Army art club and is an active member of both the Carshalton & Wallington Art Group and Carshalton Artists. His work has appeared in numerous exhibitions across South London and Surrey. Simon's neurodivergent perspective deeply informs his creative process—finding clarity in detail, meaning in atmosphere, and connection through colour. Whether painting from nature or imagination, his aim is always to create spaces of calm, wonder, and quiet reflection.
