Description
The mythology of Asibikaashi originates from the Ojibwe Tribe. She is the creator and mother of the Dream Catcher, serving as a protector and teacher for all. Asibikaashi connects the spiritual and physical realms and serves as the guardian of the sleeping. The web she weaves captures nightmares and negativity before they can reach your dreams. The spider represents the weaver of fate and the creator of the dream web. My painting of Asibikaasi’s Dream Catcher symbolizes the balance of creativity and destruction, dreams and the physical realm, and good and evil. The story of Asibikaashi embodies creativity, resilience, protection, and strength through the sacred feminine. We are all connected to this energy if we let it in.
