Carrie Johnson was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in the Chicago suburbs. She received a B.A. in Fine Arts from Indiana University in 1979 and went on to Yale University for an MFA graduated in 1982. The same year she received a Ford Foundation Grant and moved to New York City.
Johnson has shown at many New York art galleries over the years including, The Drawing Center in New York, A.I.R. Gallery, Anita Rogers Gallery, and most currently Museum Editions M+E Gallery. Her work is in numerous private collections, and she is currently based in Lincroft, New Jersey.Try it!
