Art has changed my life and I believe it can change all our lives. I believe in the transformative power of Art, and use colour in my work to evoke feelings of joy, peace, harmony, passion and love, but also more challenging feelings that bring out our shadow side, and create reflection on the darker aspects of life. My desire is that my art encourages the viewer to ask challenging questions about himself/herself and the nature of life, leading to personal and universal healing and growth. From a young age, I've been mesmerized by the power of colour - painting was my sanctuary—a place where I could express my deepest emotions and let my imagination run wild. This passion for art, especially abstract art, has been a constant throughout my life. My journey has been one of exploration and discovery, leading me to understand that art is not just about aesthetics; it's also about the profound impact it has on our lives and well-being. Some years ago I took a diploma course in Colour Therapy, and this opened my eyes to the therapeutic properties of colour frequencies. I learned that each colour emits a unique frequency that can influence our emotions and mental state. This basis for the power of colour deeply resonated with me, and I began to incorporate these principles of colour into my artwork. Creating abstract art has become my way of channeling the effects of colour into people's lives. I carefully select and combine colours to craft pieces that not only catch the eye but attempt to heal, balance, or challenge in some way. Many of my pieces have been created with the intention to bring harmony and peace into a space, and inspiration too. However I also like to address serious social issues in my work, and carefully select colours to make the imagery and message of such works more poignant. I would love to collaborate with Interior Designers and Art/Gallery Curators that share my vision to bring the power of colour in Art to a wide range of spaces across the globe.
