Jean-Michel Cereda

I paint at night, guided by intuition and curiosity. My practice began in Geneva and evolved through encounters that shaped my relationship with color. Painting became a space of freedom alongside my life as a doctor. Rooted in an Italo-Swiss culture and influenced by Great Britain, my work moves beyond fixed styles. Using acrylics, inks, and solvents, I explore spontaneity, contrast, and transformation. Though created in darkness, my paintings are vivid — moments where something unexpected is allowed to happen.
