I really enjoyed creating this old boat beached on the sand with the grasses in front and the fluffy clouds above. This was reproduced from a photograph by an unknown photographer but I hope they are happy with my interpretation of the striking image.
I used, as always, soft pastel (for the background ) and a range of pastel pencils ( details ) on Artspectrum Colourfix paper. The sharpened pencils create the detail and the background is blended using polystyrene sticks to give the three-dimensional effect to the completed painting.
