Description
A front is moving through, and nothing has settled yet. Pale sage and fog-gray drift across the upper canvas like cloud cover that hasn’t decided whether to lift. Below, color breaks through in bursts: saffron, marigold, and a molten rust that glows like late sun behind a storm. Patches of leaf green and teal slip in between, and a dark smudge of forest green pushes in from the left like a weather system arriving. The paint has a worn, textured surface, almost like an old photograph or weathered plaster, so the scene feels remembered as much as seen. This is the in-between hour, when the sky can’t make up its mind and the light is at its most beautiful because it won’t last.
