Sunflower Field

Ocean`s Embrace is a stunning oil painting on canvas that transports the viewer to the serene shores of Semaphore beach in Adelaide. The artist beautifully captures the essence of the sea with brilliant strokes of blue, green, and turquoise that evoke the calming and soothing qualities of the ocean. Standing on the Shore, the viewer can almost feel the gentle breeze and the warm sun on their skin. The ripples of light dancing across the water create a sense of movement and vitality, as if the ocean itself is alive and embracing the shore with open arms. The artist`s intention was to convey the beauty and tranquility of the sea, and to invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the scene and experience a moment of peace and serenity. The gentle waves lapping at the shore and the clear blue sky above create a sense of harmony and balance, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things in nature.

This oil painting was created from a reference photo I captured while going for a walk around Granite Island which is an island off Victor Harbor, South Australia. The bluff which is a hill southwest of Victor Harbor can be seen in the distance.

The 'Steps to water' oil painting is a painting from a reference photo I took at the top of steps at the Port Noarlunga jetty, South Australia. Viewing this painting gives you a sense of dizziness as if you are standing at the top of steps ready to start the descent down. Port Noarlunga jetty is a popular fishing and diving platform with a reef at the end. When I have been on the jetty, the colors of the clean waters are a gorgeous green or turquoise depending on the weather.

The artwork `Window` captures a moment of tranquility and serenity, inviting the viewer to escape into a lush and vibrant landscape. The realistic depiction of a window, divided into multiple panes, creates a sense of depth and perspective. The contrast between the light streaming in through the window and the shadows cast on the wall adds a layer of complexity to the composition. The color palette of light browns, vibrant greens, and whites creates a harmonious and soothing atmosphere, evoking a feeling of peace and calm. The artist`s intention in creating this piece was to transport the viewer to a greener and more peaceful world, offering a moment of respite from the chaos of everyday life. The window serves as a frame, drawing the viewer`s gaze outwards towards the natural beauty beyond. The texture of the brushstrokes adds a sense of movement and life to the painting, further immersing the viewer in the scene.
