Inspiration
Emerald Wave V is inspired by the coastline of South Devon and North Cornwall. This particular large seascape painting show a emerald green cresting onto a sandy beach with a turquoise blue ocean in the background. The sky is pale cerulean blue. The light coming through the cresting wave is a combination of turquoise, emerald and teal green. The deep shadow of the wave is a mixture of viridian green, phthalo blue and green and indigo blue. The foreground shows a sea foam rising up and under the wave. The textured surface gives depth and interest to the painting.
