"My current photographic practice focuses on examining the historical and cultural parallels between women and racehorses within patriarchal systems of control. Primarily photographing on medium format film, and drawing from my family’s equestrian lineage, I explore themes of conditioning, value and obedience, questioning how both subjects are shaped in male-dominated structures. By fragmenting and re-contextualising forms, I seek to both disrupt this societal narrative and use this as an opportunity to reconnect the two."Try it!
