"This project started out as a project of the sea, the light, and the people who are drawn to it. The project progressed when I decided I wanted to be immersed in the sea and see what the light was like inside the water and waves, so I got myself the necessary kit to take photographs underwater. Since I became a mother, I am rarely by myself, so I made photography accessible by creating images while I was with my children. These images were taken while sharing precious summer moments with my daughter in the sea. The project grew and resulted in images that I feel reflect the navigation of motherhood and my relationship with my daughter, who is growing up to be an amazing young woman. In these images, I wanted to protect her privacy by not showing her face. Ultimately, this choice added more meaning to the project; it reflects my fears for her future."Try it!
