"Rush Hour."

Brigitte B BurckhardtDescription
"I chose black and white that day because it suited the gloomy weather and my mood, and it enhanced the contrasts. Walking through the streets of London, I arrived at Oxford Street and saw a queue at the Underground station, which was obviously closed to regulate the flow of people. While taking this photograph, ”Rush Hour”, I wanted to capture the movement of the crowd when the gates opened, and I felt that a long exposure would best transmit this to the viewer. Unconsciously, I used a frame within the frame by including the entrance barriers. I think it was my way of creating some space between myself and this overwhelming scene."Try it!
