“It’s time to get out, the sun is calling before it sets. Am I going to take landscape or abstract photographs? I will see once I get there, in the moment. As always, I put myself in a calm and centered state, ready to immerse myself in the environment, to be at one with it and reach an almost meditative state. Usually, I start with a few landscape shots and slowly move into the abstract, go for the discovery, the unexpected, the unknown, for the creation of whatever will be. My camera becomes a painter’s brush. My arms start to move, which is odd at first, since in photography, usually, being still is the norm. I try different types of movements, different time settings, I almost feel like a kid at play! I am in the painting, see the colors change, streaks forming, the distortion operates… it has become an abstraction. My eyes, my heart, and soul aligned.
