To me, consciousness is the ability to sit by myself and be aware of my surroundings. It is the power for me to evaluate my life, make note of what I need to improve on and continue dreaming and working towards my goals, no matter how scared I might be to even try. Just like a flower blooms, your moment of self-realization is the period of your greatest beauty.
This piece was done using acrylic paint and it depicts one of my favorite spots to sit and think. On the bench lies the silhouette of a person whose thoughts are blossoming. Their body alludes to a vase while the flower represents their inner beauty and their determination to be the best person they can always be. Nobody is perfect, but in my opinion, consciousness is your willingness to at least try.Try it!
