Like jewels on a diva, the buds and blossoms on this saguaro make a statement everyone already knows…”I am queen of the desert.” This blooming saguaro is set against the Galactic Center of the Milky Way. Bejeweled

This family of young saguaros sits in a garden of lupine and and a few poppies in the shade of Picacho Peak. With the help of nutrients from the soil and composting perennials, the saguaros will become stately, multi-armed adults over the next few decades.

To spectate upon the Grand Canyon is one of the most eye-popping experiences we can have. This pinyon pine, with its permanent front row balcony seat has become part of this awe inspiring scene.

Sitting at the edge of the Grand Canyon can be a spiritual experience as you absorb the view, the light and the meaning of life. In this scene, rays from above reach into the depth of America's grandest wonder.

Sunwashed

We often see the beauty of a scene without regard to its history or future. The rivers has cut deep into the canyon, providing a history of the earth through the layers of sandstone.

Saguaro Cascade

Trees like this stately Arizona Sycamore need broad root systems to support their visible structure and feeder roots that draw moisture and nutrients from the earth. Family trees grow stronger with supporting values and frequent feeding through communication and gatherings.

Days always start off better with a cup of Joe and some rays of sunshine. The warming air breaks up the fog that remains from the cool night air mixing with the warmer water of this pond.

A farmers shed stands in front of harvested wheat fields, providing a sense of the fulfillment of the past. His shed also represents the safe and handy storage of his tools, just as we store our precious memories that to provide warm recollections.

Palouse Shed

This soaptree yucca creates designs in the sand as soft winds blow its lower spears from side to side. But stronger winds soon erase these memories, smoothing out the sand for a new start. In life it takes a bit more effort to wipe away old memories to start afresh. But standing firmly as this yucca can result in that new start to renew spirit and soul.

Forgotten Memories

Spirit Water

Incursion

The clear, blue area near the center of a hot spring is too hot to sustain any life. At the spring's edge, however, concentric rings of color form based upon the microorganisms that thrive in this otherwise hostile environment.

Living Edge

Artists carefully select colors from the appropriate areas of the color wheel. Nature often provides us with a wonderful palette of hues as if it had inside information.

Copper on Emerald

As superheated water arises from below the surface, it cools at the edge of hot springs. Bacteria and minerals actually thrive in this environment that would instantly take our lives. The result of this activity at the edge of the Grand Prismatic Spring is a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes to draw our attention.

This ancient pueblo ruin appears to have a burning roof. The ancient Puebloans of the American Southwest lived without insurance, instead relying on signs of change as to when it was time to leave their burning house.

Any shelter has its inherent risks. Fallen Roof Ruin occasionally loses part of its ceiling as evidenced by tiles of sandstone in the foreground. May your house always remain a safe haven with minimal risks.

Higher than the Sky

Even when surrounded by the colorful walls of the deepest slot canyons, the sight of a blue sky overhead is a welcome affirmation.

The water falls between a deep divide in the sandstone, where the sides are really not so far apart.
