Intro

Marco Tenaglia's photographs, with their captivating and provocative appearance, possess the remarkable ability to capture the magic of a situation, even in their staging — a magic that is suspended between disturbance and enchantment, pomp and decadence, feral impulsiveness and the mockery of desire. Women, as seen through his lens, are invariably touched by an ambivalent attraction that pulls the observer's gaze into a contradictory whirl of fascination and fear, a desire for closeness and an urge to withdraw.
