The Caribbean is a melting pot. This painting was done using acrylic paint and silver foil on canvas. Our hands are an important body part. Not only do they assist us in touching, feeling, and holding, but they contain our fingerprint, a unique source of our identification. Where we come from has a big part to play in our upbringing and I was taught to be kind and help those in need. The hands in my painting represent togetherness. No matter what the color of your skin is, you should be hospitable. The nutmeg levitating between these hands represents Grenada being the Isle of Spice. ‘Black Gold Illuminate’ does not only speak of togetherness, but it represents my Grenadian roots and the generosity of my people.Try it!
