Fireworks is a ceramic wall piece consisting of 9 porcelain tessellae, or small tiles. Each tile is about 3 cms square, marked, and decorated with colourful glazes and molten glass, in this case predominantly blue. The whole piece is set in a box frame, 25 x 25 cms. It is designed to be displayed alone or in a grouping of several pieces. It is inspired by a trip to the Firework Night display in Torrington, and the vivid colours of the fireworks against the November night sky.Try it!
