Project Description: My art explores the overarching theme of an individual: a soul within herself, within society, within the world. I see contrasts as conflicts – one thing strives for the other, but harmony remains out of reach. Our inability to merge with nature and fuse with society without losing ourselves is expressed in my works by contrast in colors and textures. Through glowing alcohol ink, impasto oil strokes and careful analysis of the world around me I try to assemble a general image of my Contemprorary. The project works address the following themes: the connection between human and nature, life in a police state, inner desolation, perceptions of oneself in one's own body, sense of self in space and society, and war.Try it!
