Description
Pictured is a colony of Elephant Seals spending their brief stint on Land as they Hibernate and Malt their skin. Hunted to the brink of extinction for their oil in the 1800’s, their populations have begun to recover. These beasts can be rarely found on Land, as they spend 80% of their lives in the Water. Along the Lost Coast in Northern California, they lay still, with the exception of a few rowdy Pups who congregated away from the weary Adults. The Landscape collection aims to convey the sights and feelings of places at home and around the globe through the lens of the intrepid, curious and open-minded. Images displaying compelling places through a digital photography medium.
