I have been interested in Photography since the early 1980's starting my hobby with a Praticka film camera. I guess travel photography was my first interest but soon became interested in people and after going to a photograph event in Liverpool - I gained an interest in fashion and model photography. I started my own photography group where I organized shoots every month with like minded photographers. This I was involved in for 10 years building my own Studio in the mean time. Weddings then became the next string to my bow and a way of paying for new equipment 50 weddings later . Then whilst working in nursing homes as a Manager I realised that I could fill in a gap and started to take photographs of food and sold them to my peers to help the elderly  Dementia patients identify where the kitchen was. This worked well and with a fellow photographer Vinny Parma we sold a few dozen. Then whilst I was in-between jobs I went to photograph some white water rafting in Wales and talked myself into doing a stint at photographing sessions every weekend and selling CD this was also with Fellow Tog Vinny Parma. Since then, I spread myself around doing a bit of everything - wildlife, flowers, travel and at one stage photographed shelving in an Industrial Site. Then in 2018 I was looking for a new project to get my teeth into and saw a course on Street Photography so as I did not know what this was, I decided to enrol and though I passed , I didn't actually learn anything knew and realised that I had been doing street for nearly a year. Later that year I started the International Amateur Street Photography Group, and we now have nearly 5k members. Whilst doing this I also completed a diploma in professional photography.  I very much enjoy coming up with new ideas and as a Facebook group we are the only one that offers mentorship, web page, Instagram account and emagazine. My focus has very much been on giving members a chance to grow and give them publicity. My thinking is if the group is successful then Iam. We also run a master's Competition every 3 months and the winner is interviewed and has a feature in our next magazine. Now we are the first Facebook group to have their own virtual exhibition. Also for the past 18 months I have been photographing women's football following and supporting Cheadle Stingers but also photographing Manchester University Womens team and this alongside the odd hockey and ice hockey game.  

This exhibition displays some of my work in most areas I have been involved in. I love photographing people but also helping , guiding and supporting beginners in street photography - I run assignment groups, video chats and have been asked to judge the odd group competition.

If I was asked what my ultimate goal would be I would say hold a physical exhibition displaying mine and IASPG members photographs. To run Street Photography, Meet Ups not only local but abroad and to improve my Sports Photography to the point I can actually earn money and pay for all the equipment I use. I would also like to play a part in getting the Womens Football Locally on at least an equal footing with the men's - getting them their own Identity and paid for their professionalism and commitment and hard work.
