One morning as I was driving downtown along the water, the tide was far out. It was a foggy morning, and in the distance I saw a female deer and her two fawn. I stopped the car, jumped out, and took some reference photos for this painting. I decided to put a base coat of silver spray paint on the canvas and paint on top of that leaving little bits revealed to create a subtle shimmer. My hope was to capture the tranquility and coolness of the scene.Try it!
