Description
This is my imagined representation of Our Lord’s Last Supper when he told his disciples of his impending betrayal and denial. Despite the murmurings and disquiet his words brought in the midst of his disciples he knew of what he spoke. The faces I produce are cast in shadow of varying depths and span. This can sometimes be misconstrued or translated to mean hair but for my pieces these shadows connote the baggage carried by the face or faces in the drawing. I am a firm believer that we are all naked and the things we use to cover this nakedness is the shadows that engulf us. Be it our clothes , finery , purchases or our life’s achievements. Despite some being positive or negative they all serve to add more to the baggage we carry throughout life. Do enjoy this piece but bear the shadows in mind and what they mean. There are splashes of colour in some to add more meaning. In this instance the colours represent the food and other things that constitute
