Description
Print 19 of a run of 20. A murmer of starlings swoop and dive in the air above the horizon at sunset. The sun has already disappeared and the birds pitch and turn through a sky that slowly fades from the final warm glow of the day through pale yellow and blue grey signaling the night to come. This is a woodcut also using flexography, a relief print technique, and was made incorporating a photo taken by Sally Byron-Johnson.
