I always enjoy the challenge of creating kingfishers, having sold a number of them in the past. Those colours and detailed plumage give me such pleasure....

I completed this artwork using soft pastels ( Rembrandt and Artspectrum ) and pastel pencils ( a mixture of Derwent, Cretacolor, Conte a Paris and Faber Castell ) on Artspectrum Colourfix paper.
