I’ve always been awestruck by the Blue Heron. I love the fact that they look so majestic and always are standing in water. I tried to capture this birds majesty while adding my flair for lots of color. I deliberated over the background, but decided on giving it a solid Tiffany blue green hue to make the bird stand out. To me, it looks as is there’s a lot of air surrounding him, but it also suggests that water is near. This painting is large and striking and is done in acrylics on a 1.5-inch gallery-wrapped canvas.Try it!
