The Loner
Description
Spitsbergen is a place at the North Pole and the place to be to photograph polar bears. Especially in late April or early May when the midnight sun shines brightly on the ice surrounding the archipelago, causing the ice to melt.
The contrast between the melting white ice, sometimes still covered with some algae, and the bright light green color of the mosses flanked by the black rock mass is a feast for the eyes. Slowly we pass this natural beauty in our zodiac while a lone polar bear resting on his lookout, apparently having more eye for his surroundings than for us.Try it!
