Intercontinental Jump

Fernando Paramio
This artwork was inspired on the Cairns to Papua New Guinea Qantas flight, dated 10 January 2013, in which a passenger looking through the window discovered a 3-meter python on the plane wing. While I was living in Australia, I heard and read all kinds of anecdotes about Australian wildlife, having concluded that everything is possible there. This artwork, the first of Visions of Another Continent, represents how, when we travel for long periods, we always bring something, there is always something that changes inside. In my case, that was an increase in my passion for the wild and virgin nature, as well as for certain traits of the Australian lifestyle. The airline logo shows Mount Uluru’s silhouette, under the six stars of the Australian flag, and a moon shaped like a boomerang, representing the aboriginal culture.
