I had tracked this monsoon cell as it headed north from Phoenix. It was headed north from Prescott Valley when it made a left turn and headed straight at us at on the bluff above Watson Lake. Within minutes of this exposure we were in our car being deluged by the fierce storm. There weren't many monsoons that summer, but this was monsoon enough.
